Manage Your Marketing

searchredHow well your business converts visitors into paying customers is the main category of determining success.  How much money did it make?

If your answer was…Not much, you aren’t alone.  Getting an Internet business to pay can be a big job.  That’s why it is vital to your business that you put together a marketing plan for each campaign that you run.

Example: You choose Affiliate Product A to promote.  Your goal is to send targeted traffic to Affiliate Product A’s sales page ready to buy.  How are you going to get your offer in front of your targeted market?

All marketers have to decide what marketing method works for them.  There are dozens of ebooks on driving free traffic to a business website.  Here are the Free Traffic Methods we use. To reach a lot of people you need to promote your squeeze page to build a list as fast as possible.

Keeping track of the various methods can be a chore.

Save your surfing at manual traffic exchanges in folders with 5-7 surf logins in each folder.  Open all tabs in a folder at once to maximize your surfing results.  Your credits add up faster when you are surfing multiple exchanges in different tabs.  Check out the offers, what are they offering?  Don’t just click mindlessly.  Really look at what other marketers are putting on the exchanges.

Signature files can be managed in a .txt file.  Save several signatures and see which converts better.  Best of all, this method requires no techie skills.  Copy-n-paste.

Safe Lists, are best organized by using a different email address to sign up for each one.  Most safe lists require you to open other member emails for advertising credits.  Keep up with the mail and you will have plenty of credits for the weekly maximum mailing.

Article Marketing can be managed by creating a folder on your desktop to store your articles archived and in progress.

JV and Email swaps are suited to excel spread sheets.  Keep track of partners, dates and promotional urls.  Track visitors sent vs. visitors received.  Keep track of headline to click through conversion for split testing.

And finally paid advertising.  Record keywords and text ads to maximize results.  Only spend what you can afford to loose, since there is no guarantee with this method of advertising.  The goal is to make more in returns than you spend in marketing.  Do your research and document your results.

With a place for everything and everything in its place, your marketing should no longer  jump from task to task randomly.  If a method is not getting results, you can modify it and reallocate your time to alternative sources of traffic generation.  Once your marketing system is in place, you are ready to add new product or services.
